A Private Bar at Your Event — Sonder Beer, No Markup, Bartender Included
Most venues that offer bar service do one of two things: they charge a premium per-drink rate for events, or they require you to bring your own alcohol and hire a separate bartender through a third party. Neither is particularly convenient, and neither is particularly honest about what things cost.
The Revelance Taphouse works differently. It is Revelance's own bar — not a separate business, not a franchise, not a hotel F&B department. It is operated by Sonder Brewing, staffed by Sonder bartenders, and priced at standard Sonder bar prices. The same beer you'd order at Sonder's restaurant across the parking lot costs the same at your event.
What "No Markup" Actually Means
Event bar pricing at most venues works like this: a beer that retails for $6 at a normal bar becomes $9 or $11 at an event, because the venue treats the bar as a separate revenue stream. Multiply that across 80 guests over three hours and you've added thousands of dollars to your event cost that were never in your original budget.
At Revelance, the Taphouse is part of the building. Drinks are priced the way they're priced at any Sonder Brewing location. When you book the Revel Room, the bar is available to your guests at those standard prices — no surcharge, no event premium, no package minimum that forces you to hit a beverage spend threshold.
Sonder Beer at Your Event
Sonder Brewing is one of Cincinnati's most respected craft breweries, and the Taphouse carries their full rotating tap lineup — IPAs, lagers, seasonal releases, and whatever's new. For guests who know Sonder, it's a welcome familiar face. For guests discovering it for the first time at your event, it's a conversation starter.
The Taphouse connects directly to the Revel Room through the building, so guests move naturally between the event space and the bar without going outside. The flow matters more than it sounds — it keeps energy in the room and makes the bar feel like part of the event rather than a separate stop.
The Bartender Is Included
Staffing is one of the most overlooked costs in event planning. A professional bartender for a four-hour event runs $150–$300 depending on experience and market. At Revelance, Sonder provides the bartender as part of operating the Taphouse. You are not hiring a freelancer, coordinating with a staffing agency, or hoping whoever shows up knows how to manage a pour lineup under pressure.
The liquor license covers the Taphouse and Revel Room spaces. Everything operates under Sonder's license, which means you are not responsible for any compliance or service considerations — that is handled.
What This Looks Like Night-Of
Your guests arrive. The bar is open. Sonder taps are flowing. The bartender knows the lineup and can talk through what's on. Your event budget reflected the actual cost of the bar before you signed anything. There are no surprises on the invoice.
